Surf or Freestyle:
which shape?

Norst makes two balance boards by hand in Colchester: the Surf board with a fish tail and the Freestyle board with a round tail. Both have the same 80 × 40 cm deck, a 12 mm birch-plywood composite with a 3 mm cork top. Each comes on its own, with a cork roller, with a cork ball, or in the Complete Set with both. The roller tips the board rail to rail and the ball tips it in every direction, so start with the roller. Other finishes cost more than Natural. UK delivery takes 3 to 5 days, returns are within 30 days and balance boards carry a 1 year guarantee.

01Which shape should I pick?

Same deck, 80 by 40 cm on both. Surf is the fish tail, closer to a surf stance. Freestyle is the round tail, so it rides the same way in both directions.

02What are the boards made from?

Each board is hand-made in Colchester from a 12 mm birch-plywood composite with a 3 mm cork top deck.

03Roller or ball?

On a roller the board tips one way, rail to rail. On a ball it tips in any direction at once, which is harder to keep still. Start on the roller. Move to the ball later.

04Delivery, returns and guarantee?
