TERMS OF SALE

These terms apply when you buy from norst.co.uk. Please read them before you order. Our Legal notice covers general use of this website.

1. WHO WE ARE
Norst Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14480686). Registered office: 115 Hillview Close, Colchester, Essex, CO5 7HT. Email: Dan@norst.co.uk.

2. ORDERING
2.1 You must be 18 or over to place an order.
2.2 When you place an order, we email to say we have received it. Our contract with you starts when we email to confirm your order has been dispatched.
2.3 If we cannot accept your order, for example because of a stock or pricing error, we will tell you and refund any payment in full.

3. OUR PRODUCTS
3.1 Our balance boards are hand-made in Colchester from birch plywood and cork. Grain, colour and texture vary from board to board, and product photos are a guide. Natural variation is not a fault.
3.2 Our products are for domestic and private use. Please read and follow the instructions supplied with them, and the safety guidance in our Legal notice.

4. PRICES AND PAYMENT
4.1 Prices are shown in pounds sterling. The total you pay, including delivery and any taxes, is shown at checkout before you pay.
4.2 We take payment when you place your order.
4.3 If we find an error in the price or description of something you have ordered, we will contact you before dispatch. You can choose to go ahead at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.

5. DELIVERY
5.1 Delivery costs and estimated times are set out in our Shipping policy and shown at checkout.
5.2 If we are cutting your board to order, we will email you the expected dispatch date.
5.3 If we cannot deliver within 30 days of your order, or a delivery date we have agreed with you, you can cancel and we will refund you in full.
5.4 Your order is our responsibility until it is delivered to the address you give us.

6. YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL AND RETURN
6.1 By law, you can cancel your order within 14 days of the day after you receive it, for any reason. We extend this: you can tell us you want to return an item within 30 days of the day after you receive it.
6.2 To cancel, email Dan@norst.co.uk with your name, order number and the items you are returning. You can use the cancellation form at the end of these terms, but you do not have to.
6.3 Once you have told us, please send the items back within 14 days to the return address we give you in our reply. You pay the cost of returning items unless they are faulty or not as described.
6.4 We will refund the price of the items and the standard delivery cost you paid, to your original payment method, within 14 days of receiving the items back, or of you giving us proof that you have sent them, whichever is sooner.
6.5 Please handle items only as you would in a shop before you decide to keep them. If an item comes back used, marked or damaged beyond that, we may reduce your refund to reflect the loss in value.
6.6 Your right to cancel does not affect your rights if an item is faulty (section 7).

7. IF SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH YOUR ORDER
7.1 By law, the goods we sell you must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality.
7.2 If an item is faulty or not as described, contact us. You may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund. Within 30 days of delivery, you can reject a faulty item for a full refund.
7.3 If an item arrives damaged, please email us within 7 days with photos and your order number so we can put it right quickly. This does not limit your legal rights.

8. OUR GUARANTEE
8.1 Balance boards carry a 1 year guarantee from the date of delivery against defects in materials and workmanship.
8.2 The guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, damage from accidents, misuse, use not in line with our instructions, or changes made to the product.
8.3 To claim, email Dan@norst.co.uk with your order number, a description and photos. If the guarantee applies, we will repair or replace the board, or refund you if neither is possible.
8.4 This guarantee is in addition to your legal rights, and does not affect them.

9. OUR RESPONSIBILITY TO YOU
9.1 We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable.
9.2 We supply our products for domestic and private use only. If you use them for any commercial, business or resale purpose, we are not responsible for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.
9.3 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breaking your legal rights in relation to the products, or for defective products under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.

10. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL
10.1 We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control. If one affects your order, we will contact you as soon as possible and do what we can to reduce the delay.
10.2 If there is a risk of a significant delay, you can contact us to cancel and we will refund you for anything you have paid for and not received.

11. YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
We use your personal information only as set out in our Privacy policy.

12. QUESTIONS AND COMPLAINTS
12.1 If you have a question or a complaint, email Dan@norst.co.uk. We aim to reply within 2 working days.
12.2 If we cannot resolve it together, Citizens Advice can give you free, independent advice on your rights.

13. OTHER IMPORTANT TERMS
13.1 We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation. We will tell you if this happens, and it will not affect your rights.
13.2 This contract is between you and us. No other person has any rights to enforce any of its terms.
13.3 Each section of these terms operates separately. If a court finds any part unlawful, the rest stays in full force.
13.4 If we do not insist straight away that you do something you are required to do under these terms, we can still require you to do it later.
13.5 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts there.

14. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones on this page when you placed it.
