Two shapes, one deck size
Norst makes two balance boards. Both have the same 80 × 40 cm deck, a 12 mm birch-plywood composite with a 3 mm cork top, hand-made in Colchester. The difference is the tail.
Surf Balance Board
A fish tail, closer to a surf stance. Choose it if surfing is what you have in mind.
Freestyle Balance Board
A round tail, even at both ends, so it is a board you can come back to. A flat, clear floor is enough, and you do not need to surf.
Four ways to start
- Board only. The board on its own. The roller and ball are separate.
- Board + roller. Rocks rail to rail. The usual place to start.
- Board + ball. Tips in every direction at once.
- Complete Set. Board, roller and ball in one go, 4.8 kg, with nothing left to choose.
The roller and the ball are 100% cork and fit either board. Prices start at the Natural finish; other finishes cost more, and each price is on the product page.
Which one first?
- The forecast is flat again: the Surf board.
- You want something to stand on between calls: the Freestyle board.
- Buying for a surfer: the Complete Set, so there is nothing left to choose.
- You already have a board: add the roller or the ball.
